Context
Stores sell with pictures: a styled room, a lookbook, a campaign banner. A shopper spots something they like in the picture, and then has to go and find it in the catalogue.
Challenge
Let a merchant make any of those images shoppable without code: pin each product where it appears, in the images the store already uses on its homepage and in its promotions.
What we built
An app with a beginner-friendly editor and step-by-step instructions. The merchant picks an image, places a pin where a product appears and links the product. On the storefront each pin opens that product, in banner images, sliders and galleries alike, so shoppers browse straight from the picture. The demo above works the same way.
Result
Image Mapper has been live on the Shopify App Store since March 2018. Merchants have reviewed it there, and Luke still supports it himself.
